Dr. N.S.Rajendran from Malaysia highlighted the importance of networks and mentioned that he could count at least 50 major networks of significance. Networks needed sustained efforts to be successful. Administration of the networks was crucial. Therefore, there was a need to recognise an indigenous knowledge creation process. Their role could not be discounted. They needed to be documented. Researchers among the diaspora could network and mutually benefit. The networking could go beyond web-based platforms, he said.
